Speech Pathologist

National Health Recruitment (NHR) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team in Perth or regional areas. In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop tailored therapy plans, and provide specialized care to improve patients’ speech, swallowing, and communication abilities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and manage a diverse caseload of clients with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Actively contribute to empowering clients to live their best lives.
• Utilize your Speech Pathology expertise to enhance clients’ lives by supporting and promoting:
o Speech, language, and communication across daily activities and routines.
o The use of Key Word Sign, as well as both low and high-tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
o Safe and enjoyable mealtimes.
• Provide meaningful supervision, coaching, and mentoring to dedicated Speech Pathology professionals.
• Support a varied and complex caseload, valuing your input and innovation while tailoring the caseload to your strengths and interests.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based practices, including Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
Essential Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
• Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Strong understanding of speech disorders, AAC, and mealtime management.
• Excellent communication and client-cantered care skills.
• Drivers Licence. Working with Children check (WWC) NDIS screening and Forst aid certification.
